Paralegal and Translator
“Learning Spanish and seeing my father work with refugees drew me to immigration law—I have compassion for the people we work with every day.”
— Elena Engel
Originally from Raton, New Mexico, paralegal and translator Elena Engel puts her efficiency, attention to detail, and empathy to work every day at The Guerra Law Firm—in administrative work, as well as in verbal and written translations on behalf of her clients. Elena is fluent in both English and Spanish and also serves as the firm’s only notary public.
Elena earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Spanish and social-legal studies, cum laude, from the University of Denver, and joined The Guerra Law Firm in 2015 to gain more experience in the areas of immigration and criminal law. When she’s not in the office, Elena enjoys spending time with her family, dancing ballet, exploring good restaurants, and preparing for law school.
