Attorney Lisa Guerra didn't plan to become an immigration lawyer. She walked into law school in Atlanta, Georgia wanting to fight for civil rights — inspired by advocates who stood between the powerless and the powerful.
In 2009, while waiting on her bar results, she took her first job at a small immigration firm. She walked into her first immigration detention center, introduced herself to the guards, and sat quietly in the back of the courtroom. She never looked back.
Today, The Guerra Law Firm represents immigrants, families, athletes, and injury victims across Colorado, Florida, and all 50 states — accepting immigration court cases, detained cases, and removal proceedings that other attorneys decline.
